Paedophiles in Power: Why Jimmy Savile got away with it.

The Slog has been scanning recent articles in search of powerful perverts.

TODAY: THE LABOUR PARTY

Some of you may have noticed that Ed Miliband has called for the Government to set up an independent inquiry into the Jimmy Savile sex abuse scandal to “do right by the victims”. This is probably because the Opposition Leader thinks – given Savile’s connections – that the Conservative Party is more likely to be damaged by whatever surfaces. But those who follow the antics of Labour in local Government (and have watched both Harman and Balls do nothing when they were in power) suspect otherwise.

The largely Labour controlled and supported social care system and Family Courts ‘ring’ have been Britain’s biggest secret social disgrace for two decades. I and many others have followed the trail of abuse, gagging orders, bizarre acquittals and cover-ups for many years…the leading light in this investigation being Christopher Booker who last Sunday called it ‘the greatest scandal of my career’.

Below is a selection of evidence about the small minority with big influence in Labour’s local government politicians. The striking thing in almost every case is the protection given to the guilty, and the risible lightness of sentences handed out by the Judiciary.

—————————————————-

A three-times Labour Council Candidate Richard Harris was arrested at his home in Union Street, Exeter and his computer removed for child protection officers to examine. He stood as the Labour Party’s man in Three wards, St Leonard’s, Heavitree and St Thomas….Exeter suburbs with a high incidence of Primary Schools. Harris was arrested with a list of 500 children’s names in his possession. He has been charged with offering junior school children money to have sex with him. He said to police officers when interviewed ‘I felt mostly turned on by children.’

Labour’s Manish Sood, a prominent Councillor in Leicester, has been found guilty of trying to molest children. Ushered quickly by security staff at Leicester Crown Court, he was the subject of abuse and boos as he was led down. Sood had seen an advertisement placed by a school girl for a job in Gumtree, phoned her and asked her for sex at a fixed price. Around 200 phone calls and text messages by Manish Sood were received by children, and all offered sex for money. He offered them £200 each, but the kids refused.

The Judge gave him a three year supervision order and banned him from being near children unsupervised. His mother, also involved with the Labour Council in Leicester as aide to the Mayor, stood by him throughout the trial, saying he was a ‘good man.’

Labour Party Councillor Ben williams took a job as a History & Politics teacher in King George V school in Southport, but was found to have the words ‘Lolita’ and  ‘Child Porn’ typed into school computers he logged onto with his personal pass key. A group of IT teachers at the school noticed other entries by Williams on  computers he had logged into.

Williams admitted to police that he had been tipped off about a section 47 investigation paedophile investigation being ongoing.  He then deleted 207 files on his pc, but the jury was unable to reach a verdict at his subsquent trial.

In Rochdale, the Labour Party approved the selection of  Aftab Hussain as a councillor. Hussain was connected to the infamous Mulsim paedophile ring during the subsequent trial. The ring  abused and raped under-12 year old girls, but  Aftab Hussain told the Court that the nine accused paedophiles were of good character. (Last year, Labour’s Rochdale Councillor Darren Pedley and his wife were arrested for downloading child porn images and distributing them on the internet. They face trial in Bolton during October.)

Liam Temple was the Labour Lord Mayor of Halton in Cheshire. Temple sat next to a constituent’s small daughter and said, ‘£5 if you let me see your breasts, £10 if you let me see down there.’’ He was found guilty at Cheshire Crown Court, given a suspended sentence, and forced to sign the sex offender’s register.

Stewart Brown, The Labour Party Lord Mayor of Hebden Bridge, was put under arrest after police and special child protection units raided his home and removed his computer, cds and other hardware to be examined by the special forensics team. He was found to have been downloading child pornography material from the internet of a severe nature, including a child in Bondage and Shackles. The images, said the judge at his subsequent trial, were horrific: yet he escaped with a suspended sentence, and has been made to sign the sex offender’s register for the rest of his life.

Labour activist  Mark Potter worked for Hackney and Liverpool City councils. He was allowed to seek a job near children in Liverpool first, but his strange activities worried other house masters and he was transferred to Hackney. There he is alleged to have made frequent visits to childrens bedrooms at night in the Labour Hackney council run care home where he worked.

Two weeks before London’s police Special Unit for protecting children were due to arrest him for child abuse, Trotter died of AIDS. Hackney Borough Council was asked by the subsequnt enquiry why the Labour run Liverpool City Council did not inform them of Mark Trotter’s ‘lifestyle’. Given Trotter’s death, those questions haven’t been answered. They almost certainly never will be.

In North Lincolnshire, Labour Councillor David Spooner was found guilty of attempting to corrupt two boys aged under ten years.  Spooner told the boys to sit on a couch in his living room, and returned soon afterwards completely naked. The two boys refused to take off their clothing. Spooner then masturbated in front of them. The boys told their parents who immediately called the police. In Court at the subsequent trial, the Judge called the encounter ‘depraved’, but decided not to hand down a major sentence because  the boys had not been touched. David Spooner  is now serving a twelve month prison sentence.

It would be satisfying but untrue to say that any of this surprises me. Five years ago I wrote the full, tragic story of Barbara Richard’s appalling life while going through the care system as a child. It is, from end to end, horribly similar to the accounts above.

And it’s still going on, week in week out. Ex Deputy Labour Party Lord Mayor of Peterborough John Johnson, for example, will face charges of downloading images on the internet, involving the rape and violent abuse of small children. Confirming that Johnson had been charged with downloading hundreds of images of child molestation, the prosecutor Mr Giles Beaumont said, “This charge relates to an extreme level of child pornography. Some images involve animals”. Magistrate Michael Flanagan called for the case to be heard before a crown court, and the trial date is November 6th 2012 at Peterborough Crown Court.

Stories like these are why I think the Savile witch-hunt is a distraction from something much more serious and systemic. Over and over I have posted to the effect that Jimmy Savile was not that fearsome as an individual: he got away with it because he had protection in the senior echelons of the Establishment. This is the core matter at issue here, not the ‘Celeb perv in 130 in bed romp’ bollocks put out by a slavering press pack.

When Minister for Women, Harman did nothing. When Minister for Families, Balls did nothing. Nothing is being done at the moment in Plymouth, beyond gagging orders and solicitors’ letters trying to keep a lid on things. Nothing has happened since a senior silk was appointed to reform the Secret Family Courts iniquity. No message is being sent to paedophiles that high office will not protect them. Nobody went to jail in Stafford social services, although they should’ve done.

Ed Miliband can call for as many independent enquiries as he likes: “bring it on” is what I say. But perhaps Ed should be careful what he wishes for in terms of Labour’s endemic problem in this murky sphere.

And of course, Miliband having called for the enquiry to be independent, Culture Secretary Maria Miller has turned his down. She told MPs she was “confident” BBC chiefs were taking the claims “very seriously” – and warned that an outside inquiry could hamper police investigations. What complete tosh.

Let’s look more closely at why Miller probably doesn’t want that enquiry to be independent. Her predecessor was Jeremy Hunt. Hunt is bankrolled by senior Tory supporter JHJ Lewis, Chairman of the Groucho Club. The club’s website was discovered recently to have been a forum for paedophiles, and was hastily taken down. You can see my previous post on this here.

Wherever one digs in Britain, there are people of rank protecting paedophiles and sharing their proclivities. They remain a tiny minority – but their population is in inverse proportion to their power.

Forget Sir Jimmy Savile OBE. The inquity recorded above is what the MSM should be delving into.

More on this and other grubbiness can be followed at Hunt Balls.

  1. ‘and warned that an outside inquiry could hamper police investigations’ Yes, it is complete tosh of the first order and yet, they are never picked up on it and questioned. Why are they allowed to get away with this time after time?
Oh, I know, they all frickin’ spineless scumbags.

    • They are worse than spineless scumbags, the trouble with being corrupt is that all moral values are of irrelevance,it becomes the corrupt judging the corrupt, whilst hidden by corrupt laws, how can they get court orders, that allow the justice system to be implicit in the cover up of illegal information
      It is just criminal

  2. “Spineless” reponses to evil is the key – to the dangerous authoritarianism of large institutions like the BBC, the Roman Catholic Church, the Labour (or any other) Party. It is no coinidence that Savile was the recipient of a Papal Knighthood and that the BBC is strongly Roman Catholic (remember the fawning coverage of the Pope’s visit when only 7 -8% of Brits are Catholic?) Recall the decades long official cover up by the Vatican of paedophile priests and the powerful political/religious cover up by authoritarian Irish governments. There is a psychosis of righteous power, God given or politically unchallengeable where the few oppress and control the cowering weak.

    • The best way to eliminate this lot would be to offer an amnesty for past offenses of a similar nature to any informant that names an associate in a pedophile ring, as eloquently advocated by Mr “Pie and Mash Films” a.k.a. (Bill Maloney). on the U.K.Column site

      • The BBC is pro-Catholic??? The Bolsheviks Broadcasting Communism never strike me as anything other than rabidly secular Marxists. They give Muslims an easy ride though. That’s understandable; many of them are dark skinned, which trumps everything else in leftist cosmology, and there is always the possibility they may take offence and kill you, unlike those spineless cheek-turning Christians.

Barman, I want what he’s having.

      • @Disgruntled. Cans of worms are being opened all over the place now. Interesting times. The blog you refer to claims that actor Peter Arne procured men for sex. Arne was murdered in 1983; that charming man Antony Blunt was for ever after convinced Arne was silenced by people at the very top of society. And Blunt was a man who knew a few trade secrets (bit of Polari slipped in there)

      • @SFM: It seems from what I can glean, it’s to do with the penchant for clean sheets, cupro is a ‘nylon’ weave or something, and obviously the ‘phillia’ bit is obsession. Best I could come up with. I’ll get my coat….

      • @super. A coprophiliac is someone who gets off sexually playing around with human faeces. It is hard to believe but apparently there are such weirdos out there. Defies belief dosen’t it.

    • “There is a psychosis of righteous power, God given or politically unchallengeable where the few oppress and control the cowering weak.”

RA, you remind me of something I read in Jung. “Where there is a will to power there can be no love, and where love reigns power doesn’t count.”

These days, I don’t vote for anyone who wants to take power and responsibility away from me. There are perverts other than sexual, although the “power” thing is something they all seem to have in common.

      • Regarding the sailing Grocer, in fact his penchant was for Guardsmen. He was had up twice (in 1956 & 1958) for importuning outside barracks and inside cottages….and then of course the beneficiary of a ‘D-Notice’ to get him off.
That said, he fought bravely during the war and never once abused any of his men.
As for the man of Ugly Rumours, he was referred to in his Chambers as ‘the star closest to Uranus’. Make of that what you will.

  3. O/T but worth a mention I feel..
‘Spain has come up with a cunning plan, reports the Financial Times. Everybody is waiting for it to take a bail-out, but the government seems reluctant. Now, a senior official says Spain is “comfortable” with asking for a line of credit from the ESM bail-out fund – but it won’t actually use it to borrow any money.
    So, what’s the point?
Well, it hopes to use the potential for borrowing to satisfy certain rules so that the ECB can begin buying its sovereign debt. “The credit line is not fundamental, it is circumstantial,” said the official. This in turn will drive down the cost of Spain’s debt.
Now, I wonder who dreamed this scheme up?

  4. Probably the best way to eliminate this evil, would be to offer an amnesty on any offense involving a child to anybody prepared to name another paedophile.
This solution is more eloquently propounded by Mr Bill Maloney of Pie and Mash Films on the UKColumn site 11th Oct Live broadcast.

      • This kind of crime transcends party political boundaries and maybe ethnic ones. Zulfiquar Ali, a former Mayor of Rochdale also gave similar evidence to Aftab Hussain during the child sex grooming trial. Mr Ali was a prominent politician in Rochdale until he retired. He was a Liberal Democrat councillor and Cabinet member for Children, Schools and Families.

      • labour25 has an obvious agenda that gets in the way. this isn’t about politics, it’s about the rule of law.

  5. I wonder if in law ,that were ever their is gagging order you can claim you are not receiving a fair trial, has the jury or judge does not have the full facts on which to judge, could 1000’s of trials or court cases be illegal

    • From the above link:

As for the disgusting excuse for a public servant – Harriet Harman MP, who in the past has advocated for less stricter legislation on pedophile photographs, films and videos and wants the age of consent lowered to 14 years old – I say, only a pedophile would want to call for less legislation and therefore make being a pedophile much, much easier and more legal.

  6. The following is taken from the wikipedia entry for Margaret Hodge:

    “Child abuse controversy

In 1985, Demetrious Panton complained about abuse that he had suffered while in the council’s care in the 1970s and 1980s. He did not receive an official reply until 1989, in which the council denied responsibility.

In 1990 Liz Davies, a senior social worker employed by the borough and her manager David Cofie, raised concerns about sexual abuse of children in Islington Council Care. Correspondence between Hodge and the Director of Social Work indicates that she declined a request for extra resources to investigate. In early 1992, Liz Davies (not to be confused with the barrister and former Islington councillor) resigned from her post and requested that Scotland Yard investigate the allegations. The Evening Standard then began reporting on the allegations of abuse in Islingtons children’s homes, shortly after which Hodge resigned to pursue a career with Price Waterhouse. In 1995, the White Report into sexual abuse in Islington Care homes reported that the council had failed adequately to investigate the allegations.

In 2003, following Hodge’s appointment as Minister for Children, Demetrious Panton went public with his allegation that he was abused in Islington Council care and had repeatedly raised this issue with no effect. He accused Hodge of being ultimately responsible for the abuse that he suffered. Davies also went public with the issues that she had raised concerns about while working for the council. Following a media campaign conducted by several national newspapers calling for her to resign from her new post, she responded to Panton by letter, in which she referred to him as ‘extremely disturbed’. Panton then passed the letter to the press which planned to publish it, only to be judicially restrained from doing so at the instruction of Hodge. The letter was eventually published, mainly on the grounds that the blocking of the letter was seen as disproportionate. Hodge was forced to publicly apologise and offered to contribute to a charity of the man’s choosing as recompense.”

Hodge dominated Islington Council in an era when looney lefties believed that gays and ethnic minorities could do no wrong. Concerns expressed about child abuse by gay men and members of ethnic minorities were summarily dimissed. I suspect that many others like Hodge would not welcome a review of their failures to protect children. When initially confronted by Panton’s allegations in 2003, Hodge responded by attempting to smear him, presumably assuming that he had indeed been permanently disturbed by his experience of abuse and care under her council. To her surprise,Panton had grown into a well adjusted and educated young man who was able to carefully articulate his complaints.

  7. One name the media in UK/US keeps hidden is Marc Dutroux, the BBC has some damage control when mentioning him but he was a foot soldier for prominent and powerful paedophiles in Belgium, got light sentences for child murder and got out after 3 years of a 13 year sentence. Promoting homosexuality was not allowed in UK schools and the law was changed to allow it to be promoted, one of the first laws New Labour passed when it got into power was to lower the age at which boys could be sodomized at 16, for “equality” of course, do not remember it being in their manifesto.

  8. A list of names and addresses and some big fuc**ng sticks.

I wish I had the conviction and the bollocks to do this. But like everyone else, I don’t.

  9. Given the efficiency, cunning, secrecy and networked nature of abusers such as those under discussion here, I would have thought that any publicity which makes it possible for victims to find the confidence to come forward to make allegations against people previously thought untouchable, would be welcomed. With publicity it will spread and may yet touch the highest echelons who have so far escaped scrutiny.

  10. is it not strange that while saville was abusing them they could ring childline a abused child hotline which was run by ………a BBC colleague of savilles.

    • Any information he gleaned would have carefully filed away in the miscreant’s control file for use when the time is right. He’s one piece of work is ‘ol Rupe.

  11. The BBC is right to have its own enquiry that is not muddled by alleged events at Stoke Mandiville or Broadmoor. The $64,000 question is surely to discover the extent that the ‘under-age girls were fair game’ was part of the whole “Top of the Pops Culture” perhaps into quite recent times. The Beeb was the centre of Saville’s ‘fame and powerbase’ and therefore it alone is responsible for answering questions such as who else in BBC staff and Senior Management were involved or knew, condoned or turned a blind eye. I have a hunch that there may be a number of famous household names and ex -names and also those managers ‘elevated from the BBC to the other place’ that may be quaking in their boots right now and trying anything with the MSM ‘old boys club’ to kill this story.

The BBC has a new DG (who may have a bit of defending of his own to do) …but the spotlight is well and truly focused in and any attempts Auntie to fudge or cover up would surely be downright stupid……I think the BBC enquiry is going to be the most interesting of any of those proposed and that it must be discrete from any of the others……Ed Morabund might think he’ll get more milage from an overall general enquiry…but I think that would end up far too diluted to get any real answers….or possible quivvering scalps.

  12. A friend reminds me of the following pretty horrendous Labour figure connections with paedophilia, incest etc:

From 1974-83 the NCCL (LIBERTY) was headed by Patricia Hewitt, who was later to become prominent in the Labour Party, serving as Health Secretary. A number of other future high profile Labour politicians worked at the organisation at this time, such as Harriet Harman who worked as the legal officer and her husband Jack Dromey.[11][12]

Organisations such as Paedophile Information Exchange (P.I.E.) and Paedophile Action for Liberation became affiliated to the pressure group.

NCCL worked to reduce the age of consent in the United Kingdom and argued that court cases and inquests compelling young people to recount sexual activities wilfully engaged in could do more damage than the acts themselves, arguing that “childhood sexual experiences, willingly engaged in, with an adult result in no identifiable damage”. They also sought to place the “onus of proof on the prosecution to show that the child was actually harmed” rather than having a blanket ban on child pornography and advocated the decriminalisation of incest.

  13. “All that is required for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing.”

I have read this quote, or forms of it, for the last year or so, since I began to follow the Slog and similar.
Another saying is along the lines of ‘crap makes you stronger’.
All I can say is, there are too many lazy good men and too much crap these days!

    I have been in 3 awful situations, totally non-connected, aged 7, 10 and 21.
The only one my mother addressed was when I was 10, because she didn’t know, or have any connection to the man who exposed himself to me in an alley, and, as I was with a friend, she could not deny it.
Denial, put down, disbelief, denigration, they are the shield for those who are not strong enough to take on the bully. And understandable. But poor show. Particularly when one’s daughter provides a sense of pride on her naivety( and all it then brings on).
I am now fitted with enough crap sensors to take out a sumo wrestler at 100 paces, if they so much as breathe the wrong way towards my children, and it is a challenge for hubby. But one he embraces, albeit confused, as he is a good man.

I read ‘The Girl with the Dragon tattoo’ by Steig Larsson, recently.
Larsson and Barbara Richards; coincidence of story, or conspiracy at high level. Hhhmmmmm…….

PS. Newbie to Barbara…..big hug girl x

  14. Either something will happen with this list of degenerate f**ks or nothing will.

TPTB appear to be up to their necks in this so that ought to cue the whitewash. For now.

I wish I didn’t have to be so cynical but what other way could it end up? Justice isn’t interested in right and wrong, only who argues their POV best.

Thankfully we still have street justice, whose time is yet to come.

“labour25 has an obvious agenda that gets in the way. this isn’t about politics, it’s about the rule of law.”

I couldn’t agree more John. It was my first thought on discovering the site and I did try and use balanced words in my initial posting of the link but one has to take verified evidence from whatever source one can.

It wouldn’t surprise me if labour25 was just a cunning deflection of an even worse epidemic among the tory party, with full details about to be leaked on a website being created as we speak. Probably.

  16. Is having a relationship with a fifteen year old girl really paedophilia?

It’s only a few weeks ago that I seem to recall JW arguing the opposite in the case of the maths teacher who absconded to France with one of his pupils.

By classifying all sexual activity with someone under the age of 16 as ‘paedophilia’, the boundary between sexual abuse of a child and the somewhat less serious misconduct involving a sexually active teenager becomes blurred.

It’s important to keep serious crimes clearly separated from misdemeanors.

    • Strictly speaking it is ‘ephebophilia’, so in that sense you are correct, since medically speaking paedophilia is a preference for those who are pre- pubescent. But it is still a loathsome thing for a mature adult to do, which is why we have the age of consent.

  22. we should do a sting operation on these perverts, find a child and put special unremovable die up their anus. then leave the child near labour party hq or some labour controlled council, we will have unrefutable evidence when a perverts penis is covered in the die he must explain how it occurred?

  23. In The Netherlands the entire court system is corrupt. This country has been going down the drain since the pedophiles took over. All judges in NL are corrupt and should be replaced.

  24. The whole of the UK’s justice system is bent and to reach an high level of power the elite first make sure they have some thing to blackmail you with so if you don’t have sex with that ten year old boy we sent you then no job old boy.

Not all is about money but power to these people and “we the people” can talk all we like but until we are ready to take back power by force then i can not see anything getting much better
