Clegg….not invited

Something light to kick off, as it’s Sunday and – apart from Nick Clegg having a fit on Marr* about his the possibility of his EU pension getting cancelled – there’s nothing much happening.

You may not know of the Franco-German publishing success Allotag! but it’s another of those ‘other half live’ glossies that feature the homes and weddings of very rich people who can’t stand each other, but know that a marital alliance would be good for their careers.

So it seems entirely appropriate that Allotag! should have negotiated the exclusive rights to the eurozone society wedding between Nico Narkozy and Geli Merlin. You can view some of the key guest photos at THE BIG TOP.

*This is not said entirely in jest. EU pensions are massive and generous, but come with conditions. One is that Thou Shalt not bring the EU into disrepute. By supporting it so vociferously on Marr this morning, Nick Clegg appears to have broken the agreement by association. We shall see.

In the meantime, go to #Marr on Twitter. Slick Nick has clearly, in the eyes of most tweeters, made a complete tart of himself. (By which I mean, his mask has finally slipped).

Glegg is under the impression the Britiish people voted for him, and that he has a mandate for his ramblings- indeed ALL the political parties have failed miserably to take on board what the outcome of the last election was all about, which was; We don’t trust any of you to do our business on our behalf. hence dissaray at the polls. I would like to see the return of poll by poll station only… too much fraud in the other options! Clegg was the happy chappy being wooed by the NL and Tory… he thought he was in control- HAD POWER, hahahahahahaaha….. hahahahahahaha.

@JW: Not sure what log data comes your way when people post but if it’s possible you could try looking at the User-Agent Header field and maybe the IP address to determine who the real Gemma is. She might agree privately to tell you what browser she uses and you can match it with what shows up in the logs…assuming you get logs?

.. Well mentioned BT.

Once you have the ip addy you can ‘ping’ then do a ‘trace’ to get the route the information is travelling / also the server. unless, the ‘imp’ is using a proxy – which is usually the case.

Anyway, people can almost tell them apart.

As to leaving sensible and constructive comments, many of the Torygraph commenters do not think them sensible or constructive…

As mentioned, comments on the DT are not indexed by search engines and this site is, which is why I chose to use my nick-name that my friends call me by. What is more, there are few enough Gemmas, so it seemed reasonable to do this.

I thankyou for your recommendations, but please only when you think I am right – if not, please do let me know: you know that I can stand up for myself. The problem here is that someone is impersonating me, which is unfair. Were they do speak directly using their own moniker, that is quite a different thing altogether.

What is more the other Gemz does not know my other email address as it is not public on my Gravatar. It is also why I no longer use WordPress for my blogs. It is too lax and open. Sorry.

You know my email address – it should be on your servers somewhere. If in doubt, check both of mine, or check them against my DT account; the only reason I am not signing in with my full name is to escape the search engines.

You will also note that I change my Gravatar, then the other one does. The other one took my email address from my Gravatar – which I had unwittingly added: as usual the Americans are rather slack when it comes to intenet security. That, I think you are aware of with the various posts you have made with Chinese interference with satellites and the like.

G Laming If you send me an email I will confirm my address and details including the number of my registration in the Netherlands. The other Gemz cannot do that because he (or she) does not know how it is done.

It seems we can agree about the problems, but not the solutions.

The EU cannot be rehabilitated, it is too powerful and has too many people in powerful positions in too many countries, it will wiggle and mould itself into nice new shapes but it will always be what it is at heart, rotten and slippery and slimy.

Of course you can cut out the core, think apples, slice off the outside to expose the worm riddled centre and consign that to the compost heap where it can do some good.

As regards Cameron? Well he is another problem, but whether he can be dealt with or not depends as much on whether Brits have control of their country or someone else does, as anything else.

It don’t have to be so drastic, we need our government heads to represent the people instead of the banks.
I watched BBC when British PM explained this, I did not hear the word democracy, I heard British interest, like the interest of British people is the transnational banks and their scams?
Do you really think there is a huge difference between the banks and the eurocrats?
All they want is to go back and suck the money out of the system, send some aid to to those who suck up enough, keep the salaries, benefits and bonuses without spending one day figuring out how to actually do some constructive work.

Sorry, Britain leaving EU is not going solve any of your problems, you need to attack the system of corruption in the EU and hit it hard, you will find friends after you start.
Britain is supposed to be more brave then rest of the Europe, and you have proved that before, it’s time again.
Can’t say that about Sweden, but who gives a hoot what we do?

For this Brit it isn’t about heading for the riches of ‘greener grass’ but about heading away from the foul smelling stuff that the EU grazes on currently.

As in my post above, if something is rotten to the core the only way to deal with it is to cut it out. But that in no way should impact on the ordinary working peoples of the countries concerned and how they get on with their equivalwnts in other countries. This is about the EU ‘cracy and the corrupt governments that support it.

Please let me put this in my perspective.
Many years ago I signed off a ship in Belgium and was about to fly home from Brussels, taxfree between EU countries was no more, rightly so, can’t understand why you should be able to by tax free booze and cig’s just because your job takes you over the border to an other country instead of A – B.
BTW, taxfree is a scam.
But, I was in the shop together with some Swedish eurocrats, and they COULD by taxfree.
This was the defining moment for me, I still believe the European countries should be in a economical union, I voted YES in the referendum, but not for this.

Do you remember the special shops for the elite in Soviet Union?
Well, most people now would be confused by the words only, never mind the perverse system.
The ruling classes are so exposed to stress so they should not have to live their lives like the people they govern.
The EU salaries and benefits for civil servants are like nothing we ever heard of in Sweden before, this was something other less equal and corrupt countries practice, or so we idiots thought, now it is the new normal.
This is also the rule in my company, no different from the good old Soviets, the elite deserves special favors, to spy on you, fill you with propaganda, send you to courses that are designed to make you feel special and selected while it is actually making you more afraid and less independent so you conform to the gospel told from your betters.
The Chinese Communist Party Congress is more democratic then most transnational companies to their staff.
You might ask, so what, it’s a company?
Well, these companies are more powerful then most of the countries in Europe.

I read until my eyes are too tired about all this crap going on and my conclusion is, this is not about socialism contra capitalism, it is lack of transparency and democracy, in any system the ruling class, political and economical, can screw you over.
The banks are married to the government’s, look at the dowry the Irish paid!
My hat off to Goldman Sachs.
The burden of this casino/fiat money economy is now completely shifted over to the people of Europe, never mind what country.
But let us make a nice war of words between Europe and Britain, that keep the sheeple occupied.
The hallabalooba about British veto is just a smokescreen, there is no way European countries can not pay what is owned, together or alone.
And the British should not put their nose very high, like I read in the Torygraph, we are in this shit together, like it or not.
By the way, you own more then any other country in the world.
There seems to be a universal recognition that Germany is a financially responsible country, the only one in Eurozone, have anyone actually looked at the numbers?
The Slog dreams about letting go the mooring lines to EU and head for the rich shores of the markets in Asia and so forth, sure, in twenty years or so, right now you are “chunneled” to Europe and your Main Engine is not ready, the Low Sulphur Fuel Oil needed to get out of SECA area is contaminated with toxic waste from banks so you need to purify it before you can start the engine for the voyage.
No disrespect intended what so ever, You and Zerohedge are my leading lights in finding the truth in this huge scam that is playing out in front of our eyes.

I note that Clegg is still perpetuating the falsehood that all those opposed to the EU are against all things European and are by definition isolationists who like nothing better than to be thought of as Little Englanders.

I can’t speak for others of course but this particular opponent of the EU loves all things European. The diversity of cultures, practices, languages and even ethics are a cause for celebration and if they are to be merged into one faceless blob with no discernable differences it should be at the behest of those affected, not a manipulating few.

Those few should not be allowed to have any voice at all, as long as they are provably corrupt, self interested, power obsessed, politicaly one sided cheats.

Since that is my starting point I don’t see how anything much matters as an argument until that basic issue is sorted out.

It is a lot like Global Warming. Whether the argument has merit or not is an irrelevance when the tactics of those claiming it as a fact are provably false and dishonest. Only when some integrity comes into the equastion can any meaningful discussion take place. Where is the integrity in the EU?
