This 2006 Marques de Chivé Valdepenas is currently being offered at £29.94 for a case of 6 at Tesco online.
It’s a wine built on sensible ideas of alcohol consumption and enjoyment (13% abv) and represents superbly smooth drinkability at what works out to be £4.99 a bottle. And spookily enough, it’s now on offer by the bottle at that price instore.
So if you’re after a vino de la casa with which to impress your guests, this may well be the one for you.
Hurry while stocks last.

They are selling a Duoro (Portugese red) which is delish and remarkably good value. We got it at £5 per bottle but the offer may have ended.
I’d go for it, but no Tesco here in Mexico. Great blog, John.
Dropped your campaign against Tesco, then?
(Yawn)
As I have said many, many times…if you just go in and buy the offers, they’ll go bust within three months.
That’s all I EVER do.
And as you can see from their latest results, my campaign is working :)
We have fine red table wines. Made from the finest red tables.
We have Jewish wines. They go “You never write, you never phone…”
What a useful Slog you are!
Bugger the guests….I’ll buy a case for me!
Just tried to by a couple of bottles at local Tesco. Labelled up as special offer, no price, checkout girl said £7.43.

It is in fact, as your pic shows, 2007 not 2006. Anyway, thanks for the tip.
