VICTORY! New head of Secret Family Courts opens his term by making all the right noises.

Judge Nicholas Wall, newly appointed head of the UK’s family court system.
In a vindication of Mothers4Justice, John Waters, The Slog, and many individual campaigners throughout the UK, the new Judge in charge of the Family Courts has issued a blistering attack on local authorities and their social workers.

It’s taken many years, hundreds of articles and thousands of hours of hard legal work and appeals, but if today’s Times is to be believed, the end is in sight for the Secret Social Worker State.

Lord Justice Wall told the Times that the determination of some social workers to place children in an “unsatisfactory care system” away from their families was “quite shocking”. And in a separate case, on which Sir Nicholas Wall also sat, Lord Justice Aikens described the actions of social workers in Devon as “more like Stalin’s Russia or Mao’s China than the West of England”. Given The Slog’s past experience, it seems highly likely that he may well have been talking about Plymouth social services.

The Times continued:

‘The remarks are likely to be seen as a warning to social workers not to take children into care before all other avenues have been exhausted. They may also be seen as a signal to the family courts to challenge more robustly legal orders to take children into care.

Lord Justice Wall made his comments in a highly critical ruling against Greenwich Council, where social workers had taken two children into care and begun adoption proceedings despite their natural mother’s best efforts to change her life.’

To the many brave people who worked tirelessly and without remuneration for this breakthrough, I offer my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes. But I would in particular like to single out Barbara Richards (whose suffering at the hands of these monsters both as child and mother beggars belief) and Mrs W – I daren’t say more, but one day I will – for her astonishing guts in taking on Staffordshire CC almost single-handed. Also best wishes and appreciation to agents Dodgewells and Celophis in Plymouth, and John Waters in Ireland – heroes all.

Let’s remain vigilant….and let’s not forget how the heartless gargoyles Harriet Harman and Ed Balls presided over this nightmare – and did nothing.
